NTPC Khargone Project
Development and Maintenance of URS software for NTPC, Khargone as a Pilot project.
NTPC, KHARGONE had invited a tender in the month of December 2020, wherein there was requirement of a software development for streaming the Dynamic Fixed charges Block wise depending upon the quantum of URS available to be picked up by any beneficiary.
This first time unique situation had arisen because in Western region, all beneficiaries of NTPC, Khargone had decided to run a Pilot Project and Beneficiaries had offered varying Rebates from 0% to 100% in Fixed charges for the URS up to Technical Minimum. In Normal situation, the Fixed charges of Khargone STPP is 182 Paise and variable charges 279 Paise. It means that if URS is available then the Beneficiary will have to pay 182+279=461 Paise for this URS. In the prevailing market situations when the RTM prices are around 350 Paise, it was not feasible or attractive for any interested beneficiary to pick up these URS. So all beneficiaries had agreed to give varying Rebates from 0% to 100% in the Fixed charges for the URS portion when the station was below Technical minimum and these Rebates were available only for quantum up to Technical minimum.
The logic was quite complicated as depending upon whose URS is available the Net Fixed rates was coming different in each block varying between 60 Paise to 90 Paise generally. For Beneficiaries opting for URS, it was necessary to have Ante details of Energy cost. For Example when the Fixed cost was coming to 60 Paise, the per unit cost will come to 60+279=339 Paise which was quite competitive.
M/S INSPIRIGENCE WORKS won the tender floated by NTPC and delivered the product within 7 days. The Pilot was a grand success.
